Vice President of Türkiye Cevdet Yılmaz received AJet CEO Kerem Sarp at the Presidential Complex. During the meeting, which lasted about an hour, the growth vision, new flight routes, and strategic projects of AJet — Türkiye’s youngest airline — were discussed.
Expressing his appreciation for AJet’s successful corporatisation process, Cevdet Yılmaz stated that the support given to the “Island Cyprus” project was particularly pleasing. He also underlined that the “Ankara+ (Plus)” project, jointly carried out by AJet and Turkish Airlines, would boost not only Ankara’s but also Central Anatolia’s tourism potential.

AJet CEO Kerem Sarp stated that the airline operates flights from its hub at Ankara Esenboğa Airport on 32 domestic and 29 international routes to 22 countries. “Esenboğa is our home. We’ve launched direct flights from Ankara to capitals such as Cairo, Damascus, and Skopje. Major European destinations like Madrid, Rome, and Brussels are next,” he said.
Sarp noted that in the coming period, there would be intense air traffic between Ankara and cities across Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. He emphasised that this strategy would accelerate both international tourism and regional development.

Highlighting AJet’s ongoing support for the “Island Cyprus” project, which aims to boost the global brand presence of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Sarp announced that the project would be officially launched at an event in London this August.
Vice President Yılmaz stated that AJet was leading initiatives that enhance Türkiye’s global influence in the aviation sector and wished the company continued success.
