Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, announced that AJet will operate flights from Ankara and Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Damascus.
Following the launch of Istanbul-Damascus flights on January 23, 2025, Minister Uraloğlu emphasized their continued efforts to connect Syria with the world. He stated that AJet will commence flights from Sabiha Gökçen and Ankara Esenboğa Airports to Damascus.
First Flight to Begin on April 21
Minister Uraloğlu announced that the first flight from Sabiha Gökçen Airport will take place on April 21, 2025, adding, “Sabiha Gökçen-Damascus flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.” He also stated that Ankara-Damascus flights will begin on April 22, 2025, and will be conducted three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
Flights to Damascus Seven Days a Week
Providing further details on the schedules, Minister Uraloğlu stated that there will be four weekly flights from Sabiha Gökçen Airport and three weekly flights from Ankara Esenboğa Airport. With this schedule, AJet will offer daily round-trip flights to Damascus.
He also noted that they aim to increase the number of flights in the future based on demand and operational feasibility, and announced that tickets are now available for purchase.
