Rapidly expanding its international flight network, AJet is strengthening air connectivity between Türkiye and Iraq. The airline is launching direct flights from Ankara and Istanbul to Erbil, Baghdad, Sulaymaniyah, and Basra.
AJet, the young and dynamic brand of Turkish civil aviation, continues to expand its international flight network. By launching direct flights to four major cities in Iraq — Erbil, Baghdad, Sulaymaniyah, and Basra — the airline is further enhancing the connection between Türkiye and Iraq.
AJet’s first direct flight on the Ankara–Erbil route was operated on 27 October 2025. Flights from the capital to Erbil will be operated twice a week — on Thursdays and Sundays — on a reciprocal basis.
In November and December, new routes to Iraq’s other three major cities will be introduced:
- Ankara–Baghdad: The first flight will take place on 3 November 2025. Flights will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
- Istanbul–Sulaymaniyah: The inaugural flight will begin on 2 December 2025. Flights will be operated on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
- Istanbul–Basra: The first flight will be operated on 5 December 2025, with services on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
With these new routes, AJet aims to strengthen its international network from both Ankara and Istanbul while serving as a vital bridge for regional trade, tourism, and transportation through its direct flights to Iraq’s strategic cities.
