Türkiye’s innovative airline brand AJet has begun direct flights to Damascus, the capital of Syria. The inaugural flight from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport took place on July 1, 2025, operating under flight number VF317.
Following Turkish Airlines, AJet is the second carrier to operate the Damascus route. With this new destination, AJet continues to expand its international flight network and strengthen regional connections.
First Flight Operated by Boeing 737 Registered TC-JHB
AJet’s first flight to Damascus was successfully completed with a Boeing 737 aircraft registered as TC-JHB on the Sabiha Gökçen–Damascus route. This inaugural flight marks an important step toward re-establishing a civil aviation link between Türkiye and Syria.
Seven Weekly Flights from Istanbul and Ankara
According to the new flight schedule, AJet will operate:

Four weekly flights from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Damascus on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays

Three weekly flights from Ankara Esenboğa Airport to Damascus on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays
In total, AJet will offer seven direct flights per week between Türkiye and Syria.
