Airshow China 2024 Concludes with $39.7 Billion in Deals

The 15th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition (Airshow China), held in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, concluded with contracts worth approximately 285.6 billion yuan (around $39.7 billion USD). The event showcased significant advancements in the aviation and aerospace industries, marking a resounding success.

Key Figures and Participants

According to the event’s organizing committee, a total of 1,022 companies from 47 countries and regions participated in the show. Over six days, agreements were signed for 1,195 aircraft. The exhibition featured 261 aircraft and 248 types of ground equipment on display. Additionally, 247 events, including conferences, business meetings, and signing ceremonies, were organized.

Highlighted Products and Technological Innovations

Among the standout exhibits this year were advanced military technologies such as the J-35A stealth fighter jet, the J-15T fighter jet, and the HQ-19 surface-to-air missile system. Other key attractions included the Y-20 cargo plane’s hold and lunar samples collected during the Chang’e-6 Moon mission.

Innovations in unmanned technology also captured attention, with displays of drones, unmanned ships, flying cars, and electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.

Massive Attendance and Media Coverage

Airshow China 2024 attracted around 590,000 visitors and was covered by more than 400 media outlets. Approximately 4,500 journalists attended the event, highlighting its substantial impact on the international stage.
