A Dreamliner aircraft set to fly to Tokyo collided with a passenger boarding bridge at Warsaw Chopin Airport. The incident was confirmed by a spokesperson for LOT Polish Airlines.
The accident occurred shortly before 8 PM. The Dreamliner, belonging to LOT Polish Airlines, collided with the passenger bridge, causing damage to its left engine cowling.
According to incoming reports, the tow truck driver likely made an error in judging the distance. The plane had returned from Mumbai the day before and was being towed to the terminal to board passengers for Tokyo.
A LOT Polish Airlines spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating, “While the Boeing 787 aircraft, registered as SP-LRC, was being towed into its parking position, contact occurred between the engine cowling and the passenger boarding bridge.”
