Airbus has signed two important contracts with the Organisation Conjointe de Coopération en matière d’Armement (OCCAR) to support the A400M military transport aircraft. These agreements, announced by Airbus, aim to enhance the performance of the A400M fleet and reduce operational costs.
A400M Global Support Services (GSS3)
The first contract, Global Support Services 3 (GSS3), replaces an agreement that has been in effect since 2019 and covers all A400M users. This contract aims to provide tailored services to user countries, increase the fleet availability of the aircraft, and achieve cost savings. Under this agreement, Airbus offers performance indicators to ensure the operational continuity of the A400M fleet.
Block Upgrade 0
The second agreement, Block Upgrade 0, aims to enhance the capabilities of the A400M by adding advanced features such as flight management, NATO compliance, satellite communication systems, and in-flight Wi-Fi. This upgrade provides customers with services that meet modern needs while ensuring operational convenience.
Jean-Brice Dumont, Director of Airbus Defence and Space Airpower, highlighted the 130 A400M aircraft in service and 200,000 flight hours, stating that the new agreements will provide customers with high-quality services while delivering cost savings.
