Nigeria-based airline Air Peace has denied reports claiming that the UK government blocked its flights to London for seven years. In an official statement, the company stressed that these allegations are inaccurate and intended to mislead the public.
CEO Onyema Thanks UK Authorities
In a statement posted on its official X (Twitter) account on Thursday, Air Peace clarified that reports suggesting Chairman and CEO Allen Onyema had accused UK authorities were incorrect.
The statement read:
“Our CEO never made any statements blaming UK authorities. On the contrary, he praised and appreciated UK officials for their cooperation in making Air Peace’s operations in the United Kingdom smooth and efficient.”
The company noted that these claims were “maliciously written” and aimed to create discontent between Air Peace and the British public.
First London Flight Scheduled for October 26
Highlighting the support of UK authorities for its operations, Air Peace announced that preparations are underway for its inaugural Abuja-London flight on October 26, 2025.
