Air Cairo has announced plans to add five new Airbus A320 CEO aircraft to its fleet as part of its strategy to modernise and expand capacity. This investment will bring the airline’s total fleet size to 40 aircraft, with the target set to be achieved by the second quarter of 2025.
Air Cairo’s Current Fleet Consists of 37 Aircraft
Currently, Air Cairo operates a fleet of 6 ATRs, 3 Embraer E190s, 18 Airbus A320 Neos, and 10 Airbus A320 CEOs. With this expansion, the company aims to strengthen its flight network and enhance operational efficiency.
New Office and Integrated Operations Centre Opened
The announcement coincided with the inauguration of Air Cairo’s new office and integrated operations centre at Cairo International Airport’s Terminal 1. The new office marks a significant step towards boosting the airline’s operational capacity and improving overall efficiency.
Investment Aligned with the Civil Aviation Ministry’s Strategy
The new office launch aligns with the Civil Aviation Ministry’s strategy to develop the capabilities of low-cost carriers, enhance integration with the national carrier EgyptAir, and support inbound tourism and travel to Egypt. These steps are expected to foster growth in the aviation sector and contribute to strengthening Egypt’s aviation infrastructure even further.
