Turkish Airlines (THY) has introduced a delightful new facility at Istanbul Airport to bring smiles to pet owners. Designed with the comfort and needs of pets in mind, the Pet Lounge is now open for furry and feathered companions.
Pet Lounge: A Dedicated Space for Pets
THY’s flight policies allow pets to travel in the cabin under certain conditions. Animals weighing up to 8 kilograms (including their carrier) and meeting specific size requirements are permitted in the cabin. Those exceeding these limits, however, must travel in the cargo hold. The newly opened Pet Lounge provides a comfortable and enjoyable environment for these pets to relax before their journey.
Spanning 250 square meters, the Pet Lounge features an open terrace and private sections, accommodating up to 32 dogs, 36 cats, and 10 birds simultaneously. With full-time veterinary support, the lounge ensures the safety and well-being of all its guests.

The Pet Lounge is designed to meet the physical and psychological needs of pets. With an open terrace area, hygienic and comfortable resting spaces, and veterinary services, your beloved companions can enjoy a stress-free pre-flight experience.
