The world’s largest international airline, Emirates, has taken its long-standing support for tennis to the skies with a special Airbus A380 livery symbolising the four Grand Slam tournaments.
Emirates, the world’s largest international airline and one of the most prominent supporters of tennis, has unveiled a new and eye-catching Airbus A380 exterior livery highlighting its sponsorship of all Grand Slam tournaments. Emirates is among the prestigious sponsors of the Australian Open, Roland-Garros, Wimbledon and the US Open.
The new design brings together many elements inspired by the world of tennis. Each Grand Slam logo is featured within the shape of a tennis ball, while the distinctive colours of each tournament stand out prominently. The Australian Open’s summer blue, Roland-Garros’ red clay tone, Wimbledon’s iconic green and purple, and the US Open’s striking yellow and blue combination are all creatively reflected in the A380’s special livery.
Aviation enthusiasts and tennis fans will have the opportunity to see this special Grand Slam-themed Emirates A380 in the skies on flights to cities such as Houston and São Paulo. The design aims to carry the core values of sport — sportsmanship, discipline and resilience — to destinations around the world.
The special Grand Slam livery is planned to remain part of the Emirates fleet in the coming years. The first aircraft to feature this unique design landed in Melbourne, Australia, marking the start of the year’s first Grand Slam tournament.
Emirates’ multi-faceted sponsorship portfolio
Emirates’ global sports and culture-focused sponsorship portfolio brings millions of people together around shared passions and unique experiences. The airline’s tennis sponsorships include the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, the most prestigious events on the ATP and WTA Tours, and the four Grand Slam tournaments that represent the pinnacle of world tennis.
Beyond tennis, Emirates continues its sponsorship activities across a wide range of sports: horse racing with the Dubai World Cup and Team Godolphin; golf with the DP World Tour; cricket with all major ICC events, the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires and Lancashire County Cricket Club; sailing with Emirates Team New Zealand, SailGP and the Emirates Great Britain SailGP Team; basketball with the NBA, Real Madrid and Beirut Basketball Club; cycling with UAE Team Emirates XRG; and Australian Rules Football with Collingwood FC.
Emirates’ iconic “fly better” slogan appears on the shirts of leading football clubs such as Arsenal FC, Real Madrid, AC Milan, SL Benfica and Olympique Lyon, while the airline also holds Platinum Partner status for FC Bayern Munich’s first team. Emirates has also continued as the title sponsor of the FA Cup for nearly 10 years. In the United Arab Emirates, the company supports the Pro League and will also feature on Al Ain FC’s training kits for the 2025/2026 season.
