Boeing delivered 600 commercial aircraft in 2025, reaching its highest annual delivery figure since 2018. A strong fourth-quarter performance is seen as a significant milestone in the company’s multi-year recovery process.

According to data announced by Boeing on January 13, 2026, the company delivered 160 commercial aircraft in the fourth quarter of 2025 alone. Increased production in the 737 and 787 programmes played a decisive role in this performance.

117 Boeing 737s Delivered in the Fourth Quarter

Fourth-quarter deliveries were as follows:

  • 117 Boeing 737 aircraft
  • 27 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft
  • 10 Boeing 767 aircraft
  • 6 Boeing 777 aircraft

For the full year, Boeing’s total delivery breakdown was:

  • 447 Boeing 737 aircraft
  • 88 Boeing 787 aircraft
  • 35 Boeing 777 aircraft
  • 30 Boeing 767 aircraft

December Marked the Peak of Momentum

December 2025 was the strongest month of the year for Boeing. The company delivered a total of 63 aircraft during the month, including 44 737 MAX jets. This result showed that Boeing has regained production momentum following the safety crises, quality issues, and supply chain constraints it has faced in recent years.

Airbus Leads in Deliveries, Boeing Leads in Orders

Although Boeing significantly increased its deliveries, Airbus maintained its leadership in this area by delivering 793 aircraft in 2025. However, Boeing surpassed its European rival in net orders.

  • Boeing: 1,173 net orders
  • Airbus: 889 net orders

This marks the first time since 2018 that Boeing has overtaken Airbus in terms of net orders.

Major Orders and Long Delivery Schedules

Orders received in December included:

  • More than 100 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft for Alaska Airlines (the largest fleet order in the airline’s history),
  • Delta Air Lines’ first direct order for at least 30 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

Deliveries of the Dreamliners to Delta are planned to begin in the early 2030s. The long delivery timelines highlight that airlines are securing production slots up to a decade ahead for fleet renewal and growth plans.

Defence and Space Deliveries Remain Stable

Boeing’s Defence, Space & Security division also delivered 37 platforms in the fourth quarter of 2025. These included:

  • 19 AH-64 Apache helicopters
  • 5 KC-46 aircraft
  • 4 CH-47 Chinook helicopters

Smaller numbers of F-15, F/A-18, MH-139, and P-8 platforms were also delivered.

Over the full year, the company delivered a total of 131 products in this segment.

Challenges Continue

Despite improvements in delivery performance, engine availability and supply chain issues continue to limit production rates across the industry. As aircraft manufacturers receive a large portion of their sales revenue at the time of delivery, delivery figures remain critically important from a financial perspective.

Boeing executives are expected to share further details on production plans and 2026 delivery expectations as part of the company’s fourth-quarter financial results announcement scheduled for January 27.
