TAV Macedonia announced that dense fog affecting Skopje International Airport significantly reduced visibility and negatively impacted flight operations. Officials called on passengers to comply with flight information and instructions provided by their airlines.

Flight Cancellations and Diversions

According to information shared by TAV Macedonia, during the period from midnight until 8:00 pm today at the airport, a total of:

  • 20 flights (arrivals and departures) were cancelled,
  • 2 aircraft were diverted to alternative airports,
  • 13 aircraft landed,
  • 13 aircraft departed.

It was stated that due to the fog, visibility dropped below the safe operational limits defined by international aviation standards.

Warning to Passengers

Emphasising that delays and cancellations caused by weather conditions are implemented for safety reasons, TAV Macedonia advised passengers to stay in contact with their airlines before travelling and to check the latest flight status updates.

Officials stated that operations are expected to gradually return to normal once weather conditions improve.
