SunExpress Increases Capacity on UK–Turkey Flights for Summer 2025

SunExpress, the joint venture of Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, is increasing capacity on flights between the United Kingdom and Turkey for the 2025 summer season. This decision comes in response to rising travel demand, particularly to Turkey’s Mediterranean coast.

According to a statement from SunExpress, a total of 10,000 additional seats have been made available on five popular routes. The added capacity, covering the August–October 2025 period, will apply to flights from London Gatwick, London Stansted, Bristol, and Birmingham to Antalya, and from Edinburgh to Dalaman.

Easy Access to the Mediterranean

Antalya and Dalaman—two of Turkey’s most popular tourist destinations—continue to attract high demand from UK travellers with their natural beauty, Blue Flag beaches, and rich cultural heritage. With these additional flights, SunExpress aims to make it easier for more passengers to reach Turkey’s top holiday hotspots.

Strong Operational Infrastructure

Operating with a current fleet of 85 aircraft, SunExpress offers direct flights to 237 destinations in 35 countries. The airline aims to carry approximately 17 million passengers by the end of 2025.
