On the eighth day of escalating hostilities between Israel and Iran, the Israeli Ministry of Defense made a significant announcement: 14 cargo planes loaded with military equipment and supplies from the United States and Germany have arrived in Israel.
Israel’s military operation, launched on 13 June under the name “Rising Lion,” has evolved into a regional conflict following Iran’s counter-offensive dubbed “True Promise.” In response, the Tel Aviv government has accelerated efforts to strengthen its military supply chain.
Air and Sea Bridge Established for Operational Readiness
In its official statement, the Israeli Ministry of Defense emphasized that this latest shipment is part of broader air and sea bridge operations implemented amid rising military tensions with Iran. The statement read:
“Fourteen new military cargo aircraft have arrived in Israel to support the operational readiness of the Israel Defense Forces. These shipments are part of the ongoing logistics network established since 13 June.”
The support is reportedly a continuation of more than 800 military cargo aircraft deliveries received by Israel since the outbreak of the Gaza conflict on 7 October 2023.
No Official Statement from Washington or Berlin
While the exact nature and contents of the cargo remain undisclosed, neither US nor German authorities have issued a formal statement regarding the shipments. However, it is speculated that the cargo includes defense systems, ammunition, and emergency response equipment.
Rising Tensions in the Middle East
As the reciprocal strikes between Israel and Iran continue, regional tensions are reaching new heights. Experts warn that such direct military support from Western nations could further escalate and widen the scope of the conflict.
